Reservation policies
Rooms 101-104, 106-109, 111, 113-114, 240, 340
- Reservations for Steenbock Library rooms are limited to 4 hours total per person, per week. If a group wants the same room longer than that, another individual from that group must make the reservation.
- A group that is more than 15 minutes late forfeits the reservation.
- An individual can use a group study room, but only as a walk-up and only when no reservation is currently in place for that room. Patrons should NOT reserve a group study room for individual study.
- Although the group study room is a more private space, sound can leak through the walls. Please keep the noise down so as not to disturb others.
- Food and/or drink are allowed in specified rooms provided that the food or drink are not messy. Clean up the room before you leave so that it is ready for the next group.
Additional policies for Room 240 and 340
Steenbock Library makes rooms 240 and 340 available for use by members of the university community who wish to schedule occasional meetings.
Library-related programs and meetings have priority use of the rooms.
Monthly or biweekly meetings may be scheduled in advance. Reservations for weekly meetings may be made only 2 weeks in advance.
The meeting rooms are not available as substitutes for assigned classroom space, nor are they intended for use as a conference site (particularly full-day programs.)
Requests for any extended use (such as a full day meeting or several half-day meetings) will be considered on a case-by-case basis by the library director.
