Electronic reserves access via MyUW
Students can access LCPs under the Academics tab in MyUW (http://my.wisc.edu). Your Course Resources module lists all the courses in which you're currently enrolled. Not all courses have an LCP, but if there is one, you'll see a link labeled Library/Reserves. There is a screenshot below.
Electronic reserves access via Learn@UW
Students can access LCPs from Learn@UW (https://learnuw.wisc.edu) from the navbar. The Library/Reserves link takes students to the Library Course Page for the class. If no custom Library Course Page exists for that course, then the link directs visitors to a default library page. There is a screenshot below.
Print and audiovisual reserves
- Print and audiovisual materals information and links are included under the Reserves tab on the course's Library Course Page.
- Physical materials are available at the Reserves Desk (2nd floor, Steenbock Library) or other campus libraries as noted.
- Streamed audio file links require RealPlayer
Library Course Pages
Library Course Pages (LCPs) are created by librarians, in collaboration with faculty and instructors, and tailored to a specific course's needs and assignments. LCPs may be accessed from MyUW or Learn@UW.
Depending on the course, the Library Course Page may contain:
- electronic reserves links
- a link to a list of print materials on reserve for the class in campus libraries
- links to research tools such as journal databases and Web sites
- tips and techniques for making library research faster and more efficient
- Refworks, for help in formatting bibliographies
- contact information for personal assistance
