Wireless network connection / Guest NetID

Laptops (your own or one of ours) can use the wireless network to access the Internet. You must have a UW Madison NetID and wireless card in your laptop.

  1. Select the "UWNet-Steenbock_Library" wireless network in your network preferences (if your laptop doesn't do so automatically).
  2. Open your Web browser. You will be prompted to log in to the UWNet with your NetID. You are now connected to the Internet. Ask library staff about getting temporary wireless network access with a guest NetID.
